Unknown Thirds blog

Well, this has been interesting. Cati is now telling off Patchwork and is... Woah, holding my hand.... somehow...
Mmmm...

Suddenly I felt Cati pulling on my hand saying, "Third? Hello? Lets go!"

I looked at her and, even though she couldn't see it, smiled. Then said, "I'm smiling right now."

She blushed then said, "I'll ask you why later. Don't go all teddy bear on me right now! We. Have. Too. Go."

Patchwork smiled, however much she can, then the screen--which was left on the floor--flickered some of her thoughts across it. It was somehow still connected to her.
"I'm going to kill him. I'm going to kill him right in front of you. I swear I will. The only thing you will ever see of him is his blood."

I've never seen Cati so mad.

She came right up to Patchworks face; inches from it. Then her hand came slowly up to Patchworks face and found a loose stitch. She grabbed it and slowly pulled it out.

"Hmm..." Cati almost hissed,"It seems that I could kill you right now, and those words would be your last. If I ever see you do anything to Third, if you ever even think about so much as touching him. You will be lying in a pool of your own blood before you can even blink." Venom was dripping off her words.

Patchwork looked terrified.
I was even scared of her... and she was defending me!

Cati was still ripping the stitch out of her face slowly, and Patchwork was screaming slightly.
Suddenly she ripped out the rest of it in one single movement.

Patchwork was bleeding from the open wound and had a look in her eyes like none I've ever seen before.

Cati looked at the stitch in her hand flicked it away then looked down at Patchwork and said, "But I won't kill you. I'm going to give you one chance. That's it. You can't say that I didn't."

I grabbed her hand back then said, "Okay, now. Lets go. Calm down." I said squeezing her hand.

She tried to look at me, but couldn't.

Sometimes, I forget I'm invisible.

They crashed through the door, even though they had all the security codes to unlock it.
They all wore full suits of SWAT team-looking things, except for the fact that they were flame proof, couldn't tear--mostly-- and they more lethal and high tech guns. All the security 101 who guarded Building 5 were specially trained to handle any Special.

But they weren't ready for my genius.

Which, frankly, was very simple.

Punching two holes in the wall--one on each side of the door towards the floor--I found some water pipes. I had brought some fishing line (yes, that is so high tech, I know). I tied it to each pipe across the door. The cot in this cell had a black blanket, so I managed to hang it over the door.

Jumping above the door, I knocked two more holes, so I could grasp the inside of the wall, like some Spiderman, and waited for the unsuspecting security.

It was comical. The first guy who busted through the door, didn't see the blanket or the line, tripped over it and fell with a merry 'bang' on the floor. The next guy didn't stop running in, tripped over the line, and falling on top of the first guy. Then the next guy and the next guy fall on top of them, and then the next, till 5 guys were on the floor in an awkward sprawl. I heard the rest of them pause in the hall.

That was all I needed.

I dropped down, grabbing the door frame, swinging through feet first. I knocked down the first guy in my way. With this momentum, I landed on his chest as he landed on the ground. I sprung into a flip, grabbing the next guys bullet proof vest when I flew over him. I hit the next one after him with the heels of my boots, making him fall under my impact. I stayed on his chest, like I did to the first guard. Still holding on to the guy, a swung him over me to hit the last security guard almost at the same time the guard I was standing on hit the ground.

Jeez, this took so much time to write, but it all happened quickly.

This was way too much fun. Plus, I needed the exercise.

Seeing that there were no more guards, I started running down the hall before any of the guards recovered. I saw the signs nailed up on the walls pointing what numbered cell were where, I took a sharp right down another hall.

Two guards were switching posts near the middle of the hallway. I skidded to a halt. Both of them heard my boots squeak to a stop and swung their flashlights around in my direction. I held up my hand to sheild my eyes from a beam of light , even thought the light didn't bother me at all.

"Hey, what are you doing done here?!" One of them yelled at me. He sounded concerned.

Alright.

Time to play the mistress in distress.

I gasped as saw Patchwork on top of an invisible body.

She could frikin' see him.

Standing there I was stunned for a second.
Then I lifted up my pointy toed Kick butt boot and gave her a butt full of foot. I grinned as I felt her body under my boot. It was a lot better then air.

She recovered and grabbed at what I knew was Thirds shirt, then planted her feet on his chest and back flipped off him full blast.

I heard a *GASP!* from third, then a light *poof!* behind me. Then...

I got a butt full of foot.

Ooh, you little
... I turned and tried to punch her stomach, but lightly jumped back, to swing around, fully kick invisible third squarely in the chest. You heard him 'ooof!' and fall down.
She turned to me and grinned to start advancing on me. Yikes.
"THIRD!" I yelled, "You'd better get the freaking heck up RIGHT NOW!"

Then I swung a punch at her head again. She just snaked that evil little head out of my way.

I should have learned the first time.

She pulled out a little portable computer screen from inside a sleeve of her kimono. The computer screen was somehow connected to her thoughts.
It flickered and then little words started showing up on the screen.
"I'm not here to fight, I would love too, but The Mistress knew that this was going to happen one day so she prepared me for it. She says it happens to all her Specials at some point."

I look up at Third and I get the confusion thing emitting off him. Jeez, I felt the same way.

"Look Bride of Frankenstein, We're not interested. I have better things to do then talk to you for hours about something that's pointless. So I've got to go and not waste my life talking to you."

Another thought flickered across the screen, "You sorry excuse..." But stopped. She sighed. "There's no point." She thought, "You actually really don't want to leave this place. Where else to go? Exactly. No where. The Mistress recommends you stop before you do something you might regret."
I glared at her and said.
"Well, anywhere where I don't have to see your face is better..."

"What are you suggesting?" Third asked. I was about to protest when Patchwork turned her back and started pacing a little. Right then a series of little taps went into my ear, he wanted me to trap her while she was monologuing, through the computer's security system with my awesome ability to type behind my back single handedly.
Got it.
I was typing behind my back silently as Patchwork said,
"She knows that every Special thinks at one point that they think they aren't needed in the Facility, or they think there are better things out there. Obviously you've been lied to. You have no where better than here. And everyone is needed. Even to a complete computer nerd like you, and this lackey who is too afraid to show is cowardly face."
"You know, not seeing his face is better then seeing yours. At least he knows that he actually has one." I smiled my meanest sweetest smile at her.
Then I glanced back at the screen quickly while she wasn't looking.
I was almost there...
Patchwork had a look of annoyance on her face then the screen popped some more stuff on it.
"The Mistress wants to know who told you that you could get away? Or at least made you think that you could get away?"

Suddenly, before my witty remark could be made, two large nozzles that looked like fire hoses came down from the ceiling. Patchwork looked up at the noise. Before she could move, they shot out a substance that looked like electricity, but tentacle- like. They rapped themselves around Patchwork, trapping her, and making her immobile.
"Oh, yeah! Eat that you MORON! Computer nerd my butt! Look what my fabulous skills got you into! HA! Oh and Third is always going to be better then you," I said taking his hand,"No matter what you do or where you go everyone, everywhere they are all going to hate you. Forever."

Lith's Blog

I landed on the top of the building below with a soft 'crunch'. I blinked, and my eye sight turned yellow. I looked around.

In the far east leading to the north, there were the shadows of Olmra mountain range. To the west curving to the south, tiny shadows that whispered of a dense forest. In this crescent valley, there were many buildings that housed monsters as well as their creators--more monsters though. The Facility was made up of 24 building structures, 3 helicopter pads, a 9 acer training field; a run way, as well as a 7 plane hanger, a large garage full of combat jeeps, also a huge garage that housed our many weapons; our own underground subway, a 10 foot electrical fence with barb wire encircled our estates, a 20 foot guarded wall 30 yards behind that, guard houses positioned ever so 100 yards apart from each other, and a sign outside of the fence--on the way to the gravel road here--saying The International Science Institute of Modern Science. It betrayed the real purpose of what really happened behind these walls.

Everything near to me had cool tones. No one in sight. I blinked again, and my infrared vision went off.

I pressed myself behind a large pipe as a search spot light light passed inches from where I hid. I hated those things. They perched up in the guard towers like big huge fire flies. They had their own power source, so what Cati did in the Comp. Room had no affect on them. I waited a moment or two, then took a running start to the edge of the building. I sprung up in to the air, aiming myself for the next building... 50 yards away.

Of course I cleared the jump perfectly. I landed with a metal 'thud' on top of a pipe on all fours, like some kind of predator of the night. My eyes turned yellow when I turned my vision to infrared again. Just some small heated bodies of birds roosting near by turned up a redish orange. In the distance, I saw helicopters hot red forms buzzing around. I blinked, and vision returned to normal... if you think 'normal' is never seeing shadows cause you can see through them.

I stood up and dusted off my hands to jump lightly to the roof top. The next building in front of me was Building 5. I surveyed it with my keen eyes... figured the best way in... and tightened my fighting gloves. I went over all my possibilities...

There is a flag pole thing sticking out of the building around the 4th story... Darvire is on the 6th floor of this 10 story high Building... Bars cover every window... Guards are most likely pacing the corridors, even with the lights gone... They most likely had flash lights along with their weapons... I can do this.

I inhaled deeply and jumped. I flew through the air, towards the flag pole. I grasped the metal, swung around two times like a gymnast to let go and fly up two stories. I somehow managed to grab on to a window sill on my decent; my hands holding me up, while the rest of my body dangled below. I pulled myself up so my chin rested on the window sill. I looked into the room beyond.

It was an empty cell... thank goodness! It was not in my intentions to release any more convicts than needed...

I heaved my elbows onto the ledge to reach into my pocket for one of Cati's doo-dads. It was a pen, but it wasn't no ordinary pen. Push the button that would normally have the point come out, a thin laser would. I choppily cut the bars off--one by one, top then bottom--casually throwing them through the glass of the window. Gripping two metal stubs with my hands, I climbed up the brick building. Whipping away the pieces of glass, I tumbled into the room, like a floor gymnast. I instantly stood up, ready and alert. I heard the thud of guard boots, who obviously heard the crashing of the glass, coming towards me.

Funny, that was exactly what I wanted.

Unknown Thirds blog

Cati just finished up cleaning up any trace that we'd... well, that she'd been on the computer.
Right when she was getting up I heard it. Light tap, tap tap of about a dozen Specials coming down the hallway.
I looked down at Cati, she looked back up at me with big worried eyes and said,
"Oh my gosh. We need to get out of here... now. Tell Lith that the deals off, she shouldn't come-"
I cut her off by wrapping my arms around her waist and throwing her over my shoulder and ran straight to the door.

Then... Surprise!

Patchwork dropped down from the ceiling in front of us with that awkward grin of hers. The fact that her lip-less mouth was sown shut was just gross. She made it even better by painting fake lips on them in an outrageous bright pink.

Patchwork lived up to her name. She was the Asian female version of Frankenstein. Her body was covered in angry surgery and tube scars. One eye was brown while the other was a weird yellow. Her jet black hair was up in a bun by chop sticks, and her bright red kimono was way too big for her tall, super skinny figure. Her sleeves engulfed her hands, and they were several inches too long. A large yellow cloth tied around her middle in a big bow in the back. Her jerky movements betrayed that she was the most flexible being alive.

I set Cati down instantly and whipped out my sword. She had already taken a fighting stance and had her most fierce and deadly look on her face then said,
"Well, hello Patchwork. Come to ruin our little party with your face?... or rather what's left of it?"
I knew what Cati was up too, she was distracting Patchwork so I could go around her and get the first blow in. Luckily, my sword has an invisible mode on it, so it was set that way at the time.
I quietly signaled Lith with a series of taps on my ear piece that we needed her help getting out, also about Patchwork.

Patchwork knotted her little pencil eye brows together in frustration. It made her mad that she looked like she did... but it was worse when she couldn't even say a come back.

She front flipped forwards, hands before feet (like this was the easiest thing to do in the world.) and bent down to Cati's level. She held up three (oddly enough) white manicured fingers with a face that said, "Read between the lines, sister."

Cati's face was covered in rage. "Read this!" She swung a punch at Patchwork's face. Patchwork didn't flinch as she snaked her head to the left, and Cati hit air.
She was about to kick Cati when I slashed at her with my sword.

Patchwork spun around and clapped down on the flat sides of the blade, stopping it from striking her... some how. The sword point was inches from her face.

You could hear the little distinct giggle of satisfaction in her mouth. Hands still clamped down on the blade, she flipped over it...

Landing on my forearms. I couldn't believe how light she was! It was like holding a kitten!

She crouched there, her arms resting on her knees. I was too stunned to move, nether-the-less, throw her off. She pointed to her yellow eye and then poked my invisible nose.

I was horrified...

She could see me!

I had punched a couple of holes into the wall.
I found out that whoever lived in the room next door had serious hygiene issues. I didn't know you could have that many boxes of pizza stacked up soo high... as well as that many clothes on the ground... not to mention that the bed looked like ti was growing seven different species of fungi.
Gross.

Then the lights went out. Yes!

"Talitha?" Unknown Third suddenly mocked in my ear.
I punched in another hole. I guess that person also like some sort of band. My hand went right through some poster. "Don't. Call. Me. That." I growled, trying to sound like Cati when she's mad.
He chuckled at my feeble attempt. "Ooh, I'm scared now! Just a quivering!" He said sarcastically. I moaned. "Oh, just shut up."
"Sorry, not my occupation. Thing is, I can't get you out of there." I groaned now. He continued, "They're now suspecting us in the building. Cati and I are going to meet you up at the hiding spot. As soon as Cati is done here. You're on your own."
"Blah," was my remark.

I jumped up on the 5th story window sill as graceful as a cat, gripping the sides with my hands. I looked up at the moonless sky. Perfect for a rescue.
Well, here goes nothing...

I leaped off into the black abyss called night.

Cati's blog

Me and Third ran into the computer room, and I headed right for the main computer. Third sealed up the door and I felt him standing next to me.
"Did they change all the passwords on here too?" Third asked me.
"No. I guess it was just the door. They didn't have time to get in here." I got into the security systems main database and started shutting everything down for Lith.
The screen flickered and big bold letters came up,

BUILDING SECURITY DISABLED.

I sighed, then went on to the cameras.

CAMERAS DISABLED.

Then I heard Third say.
"Jeez, I didn't know you were such a computer whiz." I could tell he was impressed.
"Well," I replied, "You need to know these things at times like this."

ALL LIGHTS SHUT DOWN.

The room instantly went dark. Both me and Third whipped out a couple glow sticks, and I kept going. I breathed a sigh for relief.
"Now," I said, "You signal Lith, I erase all the evidence that we've ever been here, and off we go to the meeting point."
"I signaled Lith. She's on her way."
"Good" I said, "Now just give me a minute and we're out of here."

Unknown Thirds blog

I was flying through the hallways at top speed, I wasn't about to let anything happen to Cati while I was gone.
5...
Jeez, she'd better not do anything stupid...
7...
I hope Lith's okay, and staying put...
9... 10...
11.
I made it in record time. I guess that 15 seconds was more then enough time. I readied myself for the fight that was about to go down. I whipped out my two foot hilt that popped out into a full sword and braced myself.

15.

At that exact moment me and Cati leaped out from around the corner and started to put our little plan into action. The one that I was going to take out heard me coming, but couldn't see me, I took advantage of her weakness and whipped my sword around and have her a solid blow to the head. She was holding her head in agony when I looked up to see what Cati was up to. She was on top of a Special trying to hold him down, she reached for his neck but he reached up and pounded her in the head with his fist. She shook it off, then grabbed his arm as it was coming down and twisted it until she popped it out of its socket.

The Special that I had hit was getting up ready to attack...

Wait... where was the third Special?

Suddenly the a burst of pain shot through my back. I twisted around to see the female Special looking right at me and she placed a solid blow right at my nose.

I decided that I was done playing games with her, I whipped out a combo on her so fast that I couldn't even see what I was doing.

She was down for the count with that one.

I smiled, then checked on Cati again.
I saw a Special on the ground, his neck broken and he was dead.

That's my girl.

She was now fighting with the third Special, I have no idea where he came from but she was holding her own against him.
Time froze, so did the Special, and grabbed the robot that tattled on us and CRACK!
Right up against the Specials head.
Time went back its normal state and Cati tossed the robot aside.
It was totally destroyed. She really hated that robot. Cati looked around for me then said,
"Whoo. Alright. Ready to do this? Gosh where are you?" I walked up to her and touched her shoulder to let her know,
"Yup. Lets just get this over with." I relpied.

Cati logged in the password.

ACCESS DENIED.

She looked pretty mad.
"What?" She said in such a scathing tone that I practically flinched.
"Hmmm... I'll just have to rewire it." She said to to herself like it was the most simple thing in the world. Of course I was clueless.
I looked at her sort of surprised that she took it that well after her little scathing moment.
"How long will it take?" I asked.
She had busted open the little key pad and was already looking at all the little wires,
"About... 5 minutes. Maybe more. Let Lith know what's going on, then guard the hall for me okay?"
"Yeah no prob. Lith?"
"Yeeees? What's going on?"
"Well, we had to take out a couple Specials, and now Cati has to rewire the access panel to the computer room. Its going to be another 10-15 until I can come and get you okay?"
"Uhhh, yeah. Just hurry please. There are some Specials around here too." I could tell she was a little bit worried by the tone of her voice.
"Yeah, okay. If you need help then just let us know and we'll be there as soon as we can. Bye."
Cati was bent over her work and it had been about two minutes,
"How's it going?" I asked.
"Its going fine. This system is fairly old so it shouldn't take as long as I expe-"Suddenly the door slid open. She looked up at me, grinned, then said,
"I am so good."

Lith's Blog

I was hiding out in an abandoned apartment room near the Head Building. It was complete with the peeling wallpaper, crappy lighting, creaking floors, and the mouse scat...

Cati and Unknown Third's conversation buzzed in my ear; their words were muffled and I knew they were having a private conversation. Cati had tunned my out. What was going on with them...?
I noticed every single noise; my eyes darting everywhere. In the distance there was the whine of helicopters and the shouts of officers looking for the missing convicts. They would of never of guessed a little troupe was breaking in their Mother Base.

I tensed up as some Specials rushed by the decaying door. No doubt some Minors wanting to look what was all the fun was about.
I can't believe I was so stupid not to realize that Minor that found us in the Green house... I thought angrily to myself, thinking of that one Minor. I should of realized that he was there... eavesdropping...stupid stupid stupid... I banged my head on the wall a couple of times for good measure.

Now I was getting impatient. I wasn't known to get impatient... just worried. They should of been in the Comp. Room, and Unknown Third should of been flying through this window any moment too. I paced...
When a flicker caught my attention. I had re-look. It was only a mirror hanging on the wall, and I had seen my own graceful reflection. I chuckled to myself in my nervousness. Then looked back at me. I was wearing the fashionable sleek, black combat suit that outlined my every curve. I wore a dark matrix looking jacket over it, leaving it unbuttoned. My gloved hands were on my hips, and my legs were spread apart with high heeled boots that laced up the front on my feet. My hair was up in a high pony tail. I suddenly punched the mirror into million of little pieces. I hated the way my face looked alienated. I looked more like the elf that blessed me than the human girl I should of been. My dark eyes slanted, my nose more sharp, and my hight cheek bones, plus my graceful neck... I didn't look human...

I gasped at the sudden pain in my right hand. The glass had punctured my gloves. I hissed as I took a shard of glass out. My own blood dripped from the tiny shard. I let it drop to the ground where it shattered like the glass that it was. I sucked at my wound, trying to make the bleeding stop. This is why Specials are recommended not to have mirrors in their rooms... They hate their own images.

Third's voice popped up in my head. "Yeah, no prob. Lith?"
"Yeees." I replied, "What's going on?"
"Well, we had to take out a couple Specials (no wonder it was taking so long), and now Cati has to rewire the access panel to the computer room. Its going to be another 10-15 until I can come and get you okay?"
"Uhhh, yeah. Just hurry please. There are some Specials around here too." I said, letting my worry show.
"Yeah, okay. If you need help then just let us know and we'll be there as soon as we can. Bye."
I almost screamed. I needed to get out of this room.
Seriously.
I think something about being around mouse poop will make you crazy.

I'm starting to like flying more and more... at least when I have Third's arms around me...
Anyway...

We made it to the top of the building we went and scanned the halls.
Nobody.
I nodded at him, and we headed down towards the west hall. I felt Thirds hard arm stop me right before we could make the turn.
There were guards there.
Not just any guards either.
Specials.
Third quickly took my hand, then we walked into a room that we knew that nobody else but the Mistress could get into.
Mine.
I had the best security hooked up there. I did all the programming myself.
I accessed the room and we walked in. Then I shut the door and all of the security turned back on automatically. I looked up at Third then asked,
"What's the plan?"
"Well," He replied, "There are three of them and two of us right? So, I go in and take one out then you-" I cut him off saying,
"What your just going to march in there without me? I'm surprised that they didn't already hear us! How did they know that we'd be coming there anyway?" All I heard was,
"Well, about that..."
"You didn't disable the security robot?! Oh my gosh, Third!! It totally tattled on us!" I felt some guilt emitting off him then added,
"I guess it okay." I said a little softer, "What's three Specials for us right? But let me get one thing straight: You are NOT going in there without me. We're going to do this together or not at all. Got it?"
"Yeah, I got it. I just don't want you to get hurt, that's all." By then he was standing right in front of me (I could just feel it okay?) and I looked up where I knew his face was then said,
"Gosh, you are so sweet, but I won't get hurt. Not with you at my side" I smiled and he hugged me.
Then it came to me.
"Okay, I've got a plan. Now listen. You fly through the other halls and get to the other side of them, I'll wait 15seconds and then I'll go out and start the butt kickery. Do you think that you can make it there in less then 15 seconds?" I looked up at where the slightest outline of his face was when he said,
"I can do that. So problem. I was trained for this type of thing, and so were you. Lets do it."

I flew up to the top of the building where only one guard remained. It was probably because the others were out looking for me in surrounding areas for Lith, Cati, and I . I don't think that it crossed their minds that we would actually come back to the head buildings. Or maybe it did.
I took the guard out with one swift pick at a pressure point.
He was out in less then a second.
As you can tell this dude was human; easy to take out.
I jumped through one of the many broken windows and headed for the west hall.
Where the main computer was.
Lith couldn't get in until Cati took out the security so that's where I was headed first.
It was easier then I expected to get into. They didn't change the security codes yet, and the little security robot let me in. I guess it still recognized me as a ally (And no it can't see me. It recognized my vital signs and genetics etc.). I knew that it would make a record that I'd been here, but Cati could take care of that.
I got in and checked for anyone in there.
Nobody.
This was seeming a little to easy...
I wasn't going to start questioning it now though, but I wasn't going to let my guard down either.
Then I went down the hall and opened the nearest window and went to get Cati.
She was hidden in an abandoned building and was right where she needed to be: on the roof top hiding in a shed.
She heard me land and quickly walked out and whispered, "Where are you? Did you get everything done?"
I grabbed her hand to let her know where I was and pulled her towards me.
"Yes," I replied, "I didn't take out the guards on Lith's level though. I figured she could take care of that."
Cati looked up at me and grinned then said, "I think your right about that one." I grabbed her hand again and put her fingers up to my face so she would know that I was smiling too. Then asked, "Are you ready to do this?"
She breathed out dropped her hand down then said,
"Am I ever not ready?"
I smiled at her again (but she didn't know that) she then felt for my body and wrapped her arms around my neck, I wrapped my arms around her waist.
And we were off.

Cati's blog

We landed about a mile from The Mistress' head quarters, our former home, and started to put our plan in into action.

Thirds job: Fly in take out the guards on the levels that me and Lith needed to get into, Fly me into the building and take me to the computer's main system, signal Lith, then open a window on the level that she needs to get into. Then guard Lith's hallway until she and Dravire come out, then he comes to get me and we go to the meeting point.

Lith's job: Wait for the signal from Third, jump in, take out anyone who gets in her way, then get into Darvire's cell and get him to come with us. Then get out and come to the meeting point where me and Third will be waiting.

My job: Hack into the computers main system and disable the security cameras and the security system, also the lights, because Lith can see in the dark, as well as Darvire (being the one who gave her the Gift). Then get make no trace that I'd ever been in the computers system, and go to the meeting point with Third and wait for Lith and Darvire.

Okay, here goes nothing...

Cati's blog

Holy crap.
I'm in the air right now. Gosh, Third failed to mention that he could FLY!!!
Jeeeeeeeeez.
He feels like there's a hot bod under these clothes...

I don't really know what happened. We were talking, I got mad then I'm flying through the air thinking about Thirds body.
Lith is telling us why we were attacked, I guess that little piece of crap tattled on us while we were talking about Darvire and the whole leaving thinger.
I'm still a little lost and sort of freaked out about the whole leaving thing, I never thought that Lith would pull one like that on me, I just thought that we were all going to... well... you know stay evil the rest of our lives working for The Mistress and all that jazz.

"Cati?"
"What? Oh!" I hugged Third harder when I remembered that we were so high, I don't like heights that much and I felt like I was going to see my lunch again very soon.
"Are you okay?" Third asked.
"Well, let me get back to you on that mkay? Maybe once I'm ON THE GROUND I can answer you. By the way, thanks so much for telling me about this little ability."
Suddenly Lith broke into our whole little conversation and said,
"We need to go back."
I was ready to go all out on her when Third said,
"Why? We don't even really know what we're doing and going back will probably get us killed... or worse."
"Darvire."
I said, "Why should we go back for that b-"
Third cut me off saying, "Really? Why should we go back for him? Do we need him in any crucial way? Or is this just a, sorry I have to say it, 'spring fling'?"
Lith, "What?"
Oh my gosh.
"S-P-R-I-N-G F-L-I-N-G LITH. Like a guy that you only like for a couple months then totally get over him because it was a FLING. Why would you like that cream puff anyway?"
Lith looked a little hurt then said, "I'm the one who got us in this mess... and he's the one to get us out. He came from those Angelias... and he could help us..." She added in a softer note, "And I trust him."
"YOU trust him NOT ME. I say we just leave him over there."
Third squeezed me a little harder in saying 'back off' I nodded and... well, backed off.
Third burned a U-ey and we were heading back.
"What the heck do you think your doing?"
Third replyed, "Were going back"
Lith grinned.
"Why? Because...?"
"Lith's right. We could use his help and its not like we have a place to stay maybe he could provide some shelter. Plus The Mistress knows every place that we've ever been too. So, he'll probably take us somewhere safe."
I looked at him knowing that he was right, but still gave him my well-known glare of hate.
"Fine. Its not like we can just walk in and say 'Oh, yeah we forgot our vampire. Can we go and get him?' we need a plan..."

Lith's Blog

Cati starred at me. No, not a glare. Surprised. "That's... impossible!!"
"Well, that's what happened." I crossed my arms. I knew something was different in me since I saw Darvire for the first time. I felt alive again. I felt like I could take on the Mistress herself. "And that's why I need to let him escape."

Both Cati and Unknown Third stiffened up. They knew the penalty of treason. And death looked pretty welcoming compared what awaited those who became traitors.

Cati was struggling with an answer. Before she could, a tall Special walked in. He was a Minor, compared to our status. I realized he was only a kid, but the testing we were put through daily took a toll on his youth hood. My stomach squeezed again. Little children shouldn't go through with this...

"Lith, Cati?" He asked. He didn't know Third was sitting right behind him. It was odd hearing a 7-year-olds voice coming out of him when he looked 17. "The Mistress demands that you go and torture information out of prisoner 342 in cell 452." He said bluntly.
"Right." I said. "Is that all?"
He shook his head. "Alright then, back to your duties." I said, and he left without a hesitance, much less a noise...

Which is worrisome because of my acute hearing...

Cati and Unknown Third still stared at me. Well... not Unknown Third, but you could tell he was. "Guys?"
Cati bit her lip... then turned to biting her nails... then turned to glaring at me again. She was trying to break years of training and testing backwards with her free will--or what she had left of it. Third was fidgeting.

I don't know which one was worse.

I suddenly heard someone--or something --outside the green house, starring inside through the glass behind me. I made the slightest whisper inside my mouth, "Shh." Both Cati and Third both jumped at the sudden noise in their head from the chips. "Say... yes... no. And I'll have my answer."

The glass behind us suddenly exploded into tiny shards as that something jumped through it.

But we weren't there when those knife sharp pieces--that would of killed us--crashed down where we once were.

Cati stopped time around us for 10 seconds.

Unknown Third then grabbed both of us in his muscular arms and flew us out of there.

I had my answer.

Interesting Tid Bit By: Lith

<Info taken out of the Unfortunate History of Misfortune by: Hurish Neo, the Centaur>

Okay. To explain things further, you must know of the world we live in.
It is futuristic, as well as fantastical. Murder and terror line the street like people. People always disappear, and people always seem to forget who they are.
The planets name is classified for the moment, but I can tell you the meaning of the name.

It means Misfortune.

There are 4 continents, and all are ruled by different Elders that represent their Clan.
Here are the names of the continents.

There is the woodland continent of Ereldelor.

The misty relm of Aeowindur.

The mountainous area of Uria.

And the temperate zone of Iomar.

The names of the Elders and where they are from can be found on the Angelias' blog.

The Angelias are the rebel group who fight against the Organizations for the Better Life. The Organizations for the Better Life (aka, the Raiorel) took organized and took over Uria because of the citizens greed for gold and precious stones. Then from there, the corrupted the other lands till they ruled all of Misfortune. Since then, Misfortune has been ruled by the tyrannic Raiorel for 204 years and the Group of Elders struggles to hold power in what happens in their Kingdoms.

The special group of beings who were the strings behind the success of the Raiorel were rare and ultra rare creatures. They were the ones blessed with special powers and altered into being more special. They did what they were told to do and did it without blinking an eye. Kill, torture, shoot, throw, and what else. They called themselves the Deman'eraz. It meant, "We Are the Specials." From 200 years ago, it was commanded by a woman who only went by the name the Mistress.
Many fear her. People have died in her wake. She is the most outlawed Creature known to Misfortune.

She still lives today without much of a winkle under her eyes. She definitely doesn't miss sleep of what she does.

And the Centaur who wrote this book has long been shot in the back of the head. Many of the books burned, and hiders annihilated.

One book remains. In the Library of Heovin. Heovin cannot be reached because it has sense been proven a legendary relm... Or so Said the Mistress. So thought her disciplinary skills. So thought her ego maniacal head of hers. She thought she could kill all decency and soul in a person.

She was wrong.

She didn't kill all of it out of me.

I shrugged my shoulders and looked at my scarred hands in thought... "I think... it's a childhood thing. Trust from long ago." I glanced at Cati, "She should know."
She stiffened as we felt Unknown Third stare at her. "How?"
"Children Ties." Cati glowered at me. "That can't ever really be severed..."
Unknown Third was confused.
I preened my long dark hair. "It's hard to explain. I'll try though." I got up. I always talked better standing and using my hands. "When you're young, and you know when you have that one good friend? That was how me and Cati were. But when I moved, it was really hard." I sighed. "Why is it soo hard to explain this?"
"Let me try." Cati said roughly. I sat down. "We were so close, and we trusted each other so much, we didn't want to let that go. " She held up her hand as in 'STOP'. Silent chuckles were issuing from Unknown Third. "Yes, I know. Weird seeing me care for someone." She glared at his invisible self. "GET. OVER. IT."
And he did. She could scare anyone she wanted to with her light blue eyes in an intense glare.
"Anyways, over time, when you start to miss that friend, your bond just grows stronger from the longing. I'm more attached to her though..." Cati lowered her eyes. "It's some of that Angelia stuff. Before we came here."
"To the Deman'eraz?" Third asked.
"Well, that's where we are now, aren't we?" Cati snapped.
Unknown Third got up. "So let me see if I got this right. You two have these... Ties that you can't break. You guys are best friends for life, no matter what?"
I nodded, "Usually."
"So, what about you and Darvire?"
My stomach squeezed. "Um... It was a quick tie. A fast bond. He was so interesting, I wanted to see him again..."
"But," Cati cut in, "he would of had to bond to you too."
"And he did."

Finally we met up in the Secret Place up on top of Building 9... In the Greenhouse. Cati knew for sure there wasn't any security systems here. We could talk freely.
Unknown Third entered. The glass door opened and closed. Slightly in the heat of the room, we could see his outline in the haze. He sat down on a crate next to a leafy plant. Already Cati and I were seated on enormous, up-turned pots. "Finally!" Cati said, exasperated, "You take long enough!"
Unknown Third sighed, "Sorry. Sometimes being invisible is hard! Plus you basically told me to wait in the training room for nothing. So yes, it did take me 'long enough' to get here because I went through a detour for you!"
I giggled into my hand, while Cati just shot him a death glare.
"So, why are we here?" He asked.
"Gossip!" Cati yelled.
"Shh!!" Me and Third hissed at once.
Cati stuck out her tongue. "Soo, what went on between you two? Other than the fact I busted my butt off saving your hide!"
And I explained what had happened, in utter most detail as possible, but not giving away my emotions.
"All my hard work for that?!" Cati looked miffed. "So he trusts you and you him. Big whoop. He's the enemy, may I remind you." She crossed her arms. "I ran into the Mistress today, just for you..."
All of us cringed at her name.
"Well, there must be something more on your mind." Third said.
"Um... yeah." I confessed. "I've been rethinking our purpose here."
I could sense both Cati's and Unknown Third's displeasure. Both didn't go against the People. Otherwise there would be 'punishment'. "So treason?" Third whispered.
"I--" I faltered. "Yes."
Cati threw her hands in the air, and Third emitted his fear in the issue. "Lith, are you trying to get us all killed?! If you weren't my best friend, I would report you to the Mistress!" Cati started to pace around.
"But I need to rescue Darvire!" I said suddenly.
Cati starred me down. "ALL this for a Vampire?! Once you save him, he'll just suck your guts out for crying out loud!"
"No--He's not--"
Cati cut me off again, "Is this because you like him? That is too weird. We weren't trained to 'like', Talitha!" She stopped her pacing. "Hey, since this is a 'girl' talk, should I send Third outside?"
"NO!" I exclaimed. "Just calm down. It's not what you think, alright?"
"Then..." Unknown Third said calmly, "what is it?"

Cati's Blog

Okay, so after the whole episode with Lith and Darvire, I was running down the hallway to go and talk to Lith about what happened I turned a corner ran straight into you guessed it...
The Mistress.
Oh, boy
She looked down at me in a annoyed expression and said in her I-rule-you tone,"Cati, I am displeased with you, running down the halls like this. Where are you off to that you would make the mistake to run into me?"
I quickly calculated where I was and the possible rooms where I could very well look like I was running to, then slapped together a lie.
"The Unknown Third needed me to help him in the training room," as I said this I tapped into his ear phone basically telling him to wait for me in there so that my lie wouldn't backfire (and yes I know that he's invisible but... The Mistress can like see him just like she can see me, almost.) "You know getting it started from the control room and all that." I was nervous that she would see right through my little lie... I didn't think she did, she likes it when we lie and do evil things.
She should, she's been training us to do it our whole lives.
"Hmm, yes. Well, I shouldn't keep you from him then. I will warn you though, If I see you running like a lunatic, or if you shall ever be stupid enough to run into me again, you will be punished." I winced slightly at the word, I knew what that meant. I was once a rebel around here... not after I was punished for the first time.
"I understand Mistress, and am sorry to cause you any trouble. It won't happen again."
I bowed slightly then slowly around her and walked down the hallway.
That woman is scary...
Scary-powerful scary.

I don't know why I helped Lith with this security things!! We've broken... I don't know how many rules!! JEEZ!! If the Mistress EVER found out about this we'd be sent to hell or something. Seriously!
"Lith, come on! Ask him your stuff, and get out of there! I can't hold this loop forever. The People will notice soon enough!" I hissed to Lith through the little chip in our necks that allow us to hear each other almost anywhere (And no. She didn't hear the conversation I had with Third. I turned it off then--that would of been soo embaressing!)
"Okay, okay..."
If I don't know what's going o-...
Crap.
Security 101 is coming.
CRAP!! Why did she feel the need to do this to me?!
"Lith... security 101 is heading down towards you. I am NOT getting Unknown Third caught up in your little escapades!"
Woah, sorry I zoned out for a minute there.
*sigh*
It took her long enough but she's out. Gosh, I'm such a great friend. She owes me BIG TIME.
Now I have to go and get the 411!!
Yeeee!! Gossip!!

Finally... I got through to Darvire in my 'interrogations'... No! Not probably in the way you're probably thinking. He's finally talking to me, as in the way we first met. Although we weren't talking like 5 year olds. I'll recount what went on inside the room. Maybe that will untangle my wrapped up emotions.

I shut off the recording devices outside the Enclosure Room, then set the cameras on a loop--a little trick I learned from Cati--so Darvire would be walking around... sitting... and sleeping... while he would be talking to me all the while.
I slipped my identity card through the slot, and had the camera read my iris. Automatically, I had Cati (who was in Building 2, in a room, on a complex set of computers, recapping my every move; she was not a happy camper, what so ever) erase the data that I had ever entered that room at o'12 hundred hours. The metallic door slid soundlessly open. Darvire got up from his cot. This room was not meant for comfort. Just housing for people who 'didn't deserve for proper respect'(as the Mistress would put it).
"Why are you here again?" His voice sounded hard, but I knew he was relieved that I was here. He thought they were recording everything and the cameras were working.
"The camera's on a loop, and I shut down recording system. We're free to talk... About anything." I sat down at the metal table with shackles bolted on it and the floor, and folded my hands. I scratched my knuckles were metal had been welded onto my bones. "I'm sorry... I didn't know..." I started confessing. I dared not to look at Darvire's marvelous red eyes. He was cute when he was little... And now he was just more good looking... Odd. I haven't had these feelings... Since... Something in my brain stopped me from remembering my past.
"Talitha..." His words made me look up at him. He looked tired. His red shirt under his black matrix jacket was dirty. "You've changed." He sniffed. "I can tell from the way your blood smells." I remembered the cut on my forehead, above my right eye. That was from capturing him. He sat down on the table. "What have they done to you little Talitha?"
Near him, I actually felt little. Everyone else--even Cati--I felt powerful around them. I had totally forgotten the reason I had even came into his room. "I-I..." I faltered. Could I trust him?
"You're not used to me, are you? Not used to my... presence." Darvire cut in my thoughts. He seemed so reassuring, and solid.
The microchip right below my ear suddenly buzzed: "Lith, come on! Ask him your stuff, and get out of there! I can't hold this loop forever. The People will notice soon enough!" Cati. "Okay, okay..." I mumbled. Darvire's eyes turned to slits and starred me down. "Who were you talking to?"
"Just Cati... Telling me to hurry." I just gestured to my ear. "I'm not supposed to be here Darvire."
"Then go."
"But..."
"Go."
"Do you trust me?"
The question caught him off guard. "It depends if you trust me."
I realized I did.
"Lith..." Cati warned. "Security 101 heading down towards you. I am NOT getting Unknown Third caught up in you little escapades..."
"Security are coming to check on you." I said to him. "I will see you tomorrow." I got up and quickly turned to leave.
Darvire suddenly appeared in front of me, and grabbed my wrist. "Do you?"
"I-uh..."
"Do you trust me?" He asked me in a rushed voice, full of hopefulness.
I nodded, unable to speak. Darvire let go of my wrist. He had been telling if I was telling the truth by my heart beat. I had been 'trained' to not let my heart quicken when I lied in lie tests, but Darvire was a Vampire. His specialty was blood. He would of caught the slightest change.
"Good bye." I said, and finally went out the door.
"Thank you." Darvire whispered as the door closed.

Oh. My. Gosh...

I think I am really going insane...

Cati is going soft. Now... Cati is NOT the person who would pet a bunny or help an old lady across the street. No way jose. She's more like she'll-pet-a-shark-and-throw-the-old-lady-across-the-street kind of person.

I'm kind of like the innocent bystander who only gets involved if provoked or commanded to.

I'm off to 'interrogate' Darvire... Again... (4th time today)

Cati's blog

Okay, so this guy, Darvire, the vampire dude. Well, the connection that I was feeling wasn't like an "Oooh, I like you" type thing, It was sort of a... how do I put this... more of a brother sister thing going on. I don't know if he felt it too or not I haven't had the guts to talk to him recently about it. Or anything.
So I talked to the Unknown Third about it (which is always a little difficult for me because I like seeing peoples faces...) He was in the lounge, siting on and old leather couch, his feet (from what I could tell) were propped up on a little table, doing his usual thinking sessions. I sat down next to him running my fingers through my hair like I do when I'm stressed and said,
"Hey Third?" (that's what I call him)
"Hmm??"
"What do you think about this Darvire dude?" I asked, still playing with my hair.
"I think that he's not telling us what we want to know" He said absently, still lost in his own thoughts.
"No. Ugh, I mean I know that. But what do you think about having him... here and all the questioning and all that? Do you think that I was a little too harsh on him?" I let my hair fall across my shoulders getting more into the conversation.
"I don't think so. I think that you did what you had to do and he's only making it harder on himself by not cooperating. Why?" I could feel a slight sense of confusion emitting off him and saw his little outline of a face turn toward me, (for those of you who don't know, The Unknown Third can sort of... well... emit his feelings to others, when he wants to, to sort of let them know how he's feeling because well, nobody can see him. But he basically only lets me and Lith in on his feelings. Also, its not that he was born where nobody can see him, he just has the ability to so he stays invisible all the time. Sooo... he does. Don't ask. I have no idea why he chooses to stay that way).
"Well, I feel... bad about being so mean to him about it..." I said in a guilty tone, getting up to pace a little.
"Wait. You feel bad about interrogating him?! Since when do you feel bad about this stuff?" I could practically see him raising an eyebrow at me... that is if I knew what he looked like... or even what his eyebrow looked like...

Little side note here, I could only really talk to Unknown Third about this stuff. What I mean is I could talk to Lith about this stuff... she's also like the best friend I've ever had (both her and Third). But you know how sometimes you can only really talk about some things to different friends? And that these friends have a better understanding about what your talking about? Well, that's how I feel with the whole interrogating peoples stuff with Third. Okay, back to the little conversation...

"I don't know... I ... I just... it hard for me to..." I let my shoulders go limp.
"You don't have to say anything else. I get it. Sometimes its harder to do what we have to to certain people rather then others. You feel like its wrong that you're doing this to the person." I got the whole understanding emotion thing emitting off him then, and saw his outline stand and come towards me.
I sighed, "Yes. And its weird for me especially since its the first time I..."
"Cati, You can stop talking now. I told you already... I get it. If you want to then I'll take over from here on with the whole interrogating thing" I heard softness enter his voice as he said this to me, and an emotion that he only gives me when we're alone. A flood of relief washed over me, "Thanks"
Then I felt his arms gather me up into a hug, I couldn't breathe, all I could do was hug him back hoping that this moment would never end.
